Did you ever get this working?
You do need the DTBAddin for it to actually skip commercials. I am building a new system this weekend so I should be doing it all over again but if you still have problems I can go over my setup.

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
I have not experienced a crash on the new version (which isn't surprising since the built in delay is twice the manual delay I was using before).

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
I have Charter here and I only record HD. For me, a 5 minute delay on any recording is sufficient for it not to crash. My thread count is set to 1 and I don't use the live_tv flag currently but it wasn't crashing with the 5 minute delay when I did (I find live_tv to a bit too inaccurate for me). Wat...

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
Hey Erik.
Yes it never crashes when started 5 minutes after the recording starts.

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
Are you asking how to put in the delay that will (hopefully) prevent your crash? If so, you need to modify you "Find Commercials In DVRMS" profile and add the Durrant.Plugins.Sleep action (set it for 5 minutes) and then move that action (now called "Sleep for 5 Minutes") to the t...

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
I have left the thread_count setting at 1 since you originally suggested it in this thread. I went and double checked my recent log files to make sure it was being picked up properly and it is there set to 1.

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
Thanks for the suggestion Erik. I set two_pass_logo=0 but it still crashes although it seemed less. It wasn't a huge sample but 16 recordings crashed 4 times.

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
I got a chance to test 81_042 this weekend and I can still reproduce the crash if the scanning starts early. Out of 12 recordings, I had a crash on 6 of them.

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
If you want to delay the scan by x number of minutes, it is not done from the File Watcher tab (it will remain at 0). You need to modify the default commercial detect profile (called Find Commercials in DVR-MS) and add a new entry for "Durrant.Plugins.Sleep" and set it to x minutes. You ne...

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
The thread_count value has a default of 2 and isn't in the default .ini file so you would have to add it. The crash isn't limited to having the live_tv value set (for me at least). The live_tv value just allows the .xml file to be written during scanning instead of at the very end. In my tests, it c...

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings
Although I have multiple recordings going on at once (for example 3 tonight) I have not seen a crash since setting a 5 minute delay and having the thread count at 1. I could previously reproduce a crash with just one recording at a time when starting the scan with no delay. The error is an access vi...

Re: Looking for help to test live TV support for WTV and DVR
If you want to do live recording scanning, you need to set a Wait Time of 0 not 10. The Wait Time setting is defined as (per the pop-up dialog) "the amount of time to wait for a file to stop being written to". Setting it to 10 shouldn't start the scan until the file has stopped recording f...

Re: File Cleanup
Yeah likely much more over there but the cleanup seems to be working for me. I know it doesn't cleanup the .xml folder immediately like it does the recorded tv folder. I believe it is tied to the Cleanup Frequency setting on the File Watcher tab but I have honestly not tested it to know for sure.
