Temporarily disable comskip during playback?
Comskip works great for most shows, but occasionally it skips parts of the show. For example, during a kickoff (football game), I see the ball kicked into the air... and then we are in the middle of a commercial. How do I temporarily disable Comskip so I can back up and see what happened when the ba...

Re: Clean up process?
I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, but now I only have wtv and log files in the "Recorded TV" folder and vih and xml files in the Dvrmstoolbox\commercialsxml folder. BTW, what are the vih files and are they needed? Any suggestions for how to use (or modify) the batch file so that it clea...

Re: Clean up process?
I see files added to the "Recorded TV" folder (as Oingofan mentioned), but I also see files added to c:\users\public\Dvrmstoolbox\folders (e.g. commercialsxml and fwlogs). If I run a copy of the batch file in each location, it completely cleans the later directory structure (I assume since...
Re: i'm new
Thanks for that post. This "10 minute waiting time" seems pretty critical. Somehow I missed that (I had it set to 1 minute) and only the very first commercial (before show started) was being detected. I only wish I had noticed that earlier.

Meklos (or anyone else),
Please share your DVRMSToolbox settings (preferably screenshots). I am using Windows 7 MCE and am experiencing intermittent issues. I'm a newbie (probably pretty obvious), and am trying to isolate where my issues are so I can determine what questions to ask.

Re: WMC/Comskip/DVRMSToolbox-Not skipping commercials
I have also had similar issues. I still think this is the best commercial skipping software by far. However, for some shows, the commercials are all identified perfectly, while for others, it only detects a few, or does not detect in the correct places. A perfect example was the Broncos/Steelers gam...

Re: ShowAnalyzer to Comskip
I could not agree with you more WScottCross. I am a newbie, and tried Show Analyzer for a few days and just did not want to spend the effort of tuning it. I was very thankful for your instructions on switching over from Show Analyzer. I have only tested Comskip on a few shows, but so far I am incred...
