Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

So it's running on two separate programs at the same time?
That's odd. Impressive, but odd. :o
You can use the PlayNice option to reduce CPU usage.
For some reason, my "polling time" is 6 hours (21600 seconds). I don't remember why, but that may help your situation.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

I am trying to set it so that only ONE instance of Comskip is running at a time, but for some reason Dirmon2 is letting two run at the same time. I have Global Resources set to 100 and job resources set to 100. Is that not correct? As long as they're not working ON THE SAME FILE, I can't imagine th...

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

You just need the checkbox "Wait until the target file is finished." Uncheck everything else in that section.

Re: play_nice could play nicer

Somehow, you fixed it anyway. :) I missed a few, but just updated to 059. As you suggest, I ran it first with the default config file. It took about 8 minutes and used 90% to 95% of the CPU. I then put in my play_nice code and it took about 45 minutes and used almost no CPU. But setting play_nice_sl...

Re: play_nice could play nicer

Any hope of allowing a play_nice_sleep = 0.5 in the future?

play_nice could play nicer

With play_nice_sleep set to 0, Comskip processes a file in about 10 minutes but uses 80% to 90% of CPU. Set to any non-zero integer, CPU use drops to about 5% and processing takes about an hour.
Something in between would be nice.

Re: Commercials ignored

Something else is wrong - it's only running for a little over a minute. Either it's a really short show, you have a really amazing processor, or it's stopping before it should. Is the show really called "show.mpg"?

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

I recently had the pleasure  of reinstalling my OS. And, of course, the DirMon2 settings I had saved were nowhere to be found. So I had to get it working again, which was only slightly easier the second time, since, at least, I knew I had gotten it working the first time. For anyone else...

Re: Newbie - Commercials not removed

Apparently, it requires the "Scene cut interface": "Similar to the Chapter Editor, a file is kept for every DVD and Media with a ".cut" file extension. If a "cut" file exists when Zoom Player replays content, the edit values are applied to the newly loaded Media or...

Re: Newbie - Commercials not removed

Hopefully, someone here who actually uses Zoom might be able to chime in (I tried to look at it on the Inmatrix site, but the server is down :( ). Comskip will generate the files you need with: output_zoomplayer_cutlist=1 output_zoomplayer_chapter=1 You don't PLAY those files, you just put them in t...

Re: Followed Setup instructions for DVRMSToolbox - Still no

First step is to get rid of the periods in the extensions you have in watched and video types (and anywhere else). If you have output_dvrmstb=1 and you're not getting xml output, then either it's not set to one or it's using a different ini file. I suggest you put a copy of the show on your desktop,...
