Re: Thread_count option?

Yeah, I know. I mean for new users it doesn't show the option as available, since it's not in the comskip.txt file or the gui editor.

I actually use thread_count=8, since I have a quad core computer.

Re: Thread_count option?

Erik, I just downloaded 81.69 and still don't see thread count in the comskip.txt file or the new gui editor.

Re: Looping on Boardwalk Empire

Ah, good point. Definitely a problem for live tv. Are you using the Panic volume buffer error to do this detection when a show is live? Or just periodically checking the file metadata to see if the protected flag changes?

Re: Looping on Boardwalk Empire

This is great news! Thanks Erik, it's something we've been requesting a while. But to save processing cycles, can you look at the file metadata to look for the "WM/WMRVContentProtected" flag to determine if it should run on protected files? If it finds the file is protected, just create a blank xml ...

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

Did we ever get posted a sample of the VBScript or some other process to extend Dirmon2? I'm looking for a way to have Dirmon call something that would look at the file metadata to look for the "WM/WMRVContentProtected" flag to determine if it should run on protected files. If it finds the file is p...

Thread_count option?

Hi, I notice that the thread_count parameter isn't in the comskip.txt file or the new gui editor. Has the thread_count parameter been removed from the app?

Panic volume buffer error in 81.64

I just upgraded to 81.64 from 49 hoping speed would increase. But several of the shows I've had it working on ran indefinitely with constant entries of "Panic volume buffer". Per the release notes I thought this was fixed. My log file was 28MB before I aborted and it was filled with the error, here'...

Re: Comskip crashing while processing live recordings

I'm still having crashes several times a day, even after I set DirMon to ignore files smaller than 100MB and to wait 5 minutes between runs.

If yes, can you upload the smallest possible recording that causes Comskip to crash to my ftp server?
So the suggestion is to not run comskip on live tv recordings any more?

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

The live skipping is the only thing not working. If I run comskip on shows that aren't live (usually by deleting the incorrectly created files), it works fine.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

I'm glad live tv skipping is working for other people. Unfortunately it's not working for me. Can you post your settings for comskip.ini and Dirmon2 if it is different from the defaults? My Dirmon2 settings are: Job Management Tab - Program to run: C:\Program Files\DVRMSToolbox\Applications\comskip....

Re: comskip not working on protected wtv files or live viewi

I'm uploading. The odd thing is, when live commercial detection is taking place on the protected files, it doesn't crash, it just takes a long time. When running for files that are not protected, comskip appears to crash after a couple of minutes. I was just monitoring while watching a show, and saw...

Re: comskip not working on protected wtv files or live viewi

Sure, how small is small? I was just able to record the last ten minutes of a show. Came out to about 750MB and has a commercial break in it. That small enough, or want a half hour show?
