Comskip on linux server monitoring possible?
Anyone have a guide to get comskip working with linux? Is there anything that can monitor a folder then process to remove the commercials available for linux? Something similiar to mcebuddy on windows.

Re: Looping on Boardwalk Empire
The problem is DVRMS will scan the file again because no commercial file is present. he best thing to do is annually add the protected channels to 'do not scan'. I have not found anything else that works 100%.

Re: WMC and comskip, latest consensus?
If you want livetv scanning then you will set dvrmstoolbox wait time to 0 then add a wait time to the scan for commercials profile. I have it set to wait 10 minutes before processing begins.

Live tv detection
During live tv detection I would notice that the initial detection is bad while recording but by the time the recording is complete it becomes correct. Does comskip reprocess a recording when complete? Is there a way to get better live detection? I have it set to begin after 10 minutes. Should it be...

Re: comskip live tv detection ends early
I switched back to the version before the major change to live processing and now commercials are detected correctly and accurate like it was before. The newer version gave some horrible results with live detection. I guess I shouldn't upgrade if I am not having any problems. Thanks for the help.

Re: comskip live tv detection ends early
It has happened a few times before. I even changed the delay to 15 minutes. When I reprocess the show everything is detected correctly.

Re: comskip live tv detection ends early
I was recording a sports game and I comskip made a huge gap that wasn't even a commercial. I did a manual scan and it detected the commercials fine. Why did it have problems doing it during the live scan? Is there a solution?

comskip live tv detection ends early
I have comskip set to detect commercials in live tv but with the most recent version it tends to end early before the recording is complete. I didn't have problems before with it. I am using WMC with DVRMStoolbox and the donator version. I have the setting to enable live tv detection enabled and dvr...

Thanks. That engadget post is really helpful and has lots of info. I am able to select what channels not to scan. I did not know about these options.

Re: How to deal with DRM?
I don't know what that is but it is a drm stream. One of the few copy once channels that I have. Is there no way to get comskip to bail on drm videos?

How to deal with DRM?
I have the latest donor version of comskip with DVRMS toolbox. So far everything is working fine but problems with DRM recordings. Comskip will continue procession the file for a long time even though it has DRM. I have to manually stop it Is there anything I can do to stop this from occuring?
