Does Comskip work on mp4 files?
I have used comskip for years on mpeg files and on .ts files from my HD-PVR in SageTV. With some files I like to run comskip on the original file and then reencode them with Handbrake to mp4 to make them more portable for iDevices, etc. But at times in playback in Sage these files get in endless loo...

Re: Need advice on looking for STB powered off with Comskip
Awesome - this will help me solve two problems. Occasionally I also have an issue where my STB will stop outputting sound. This can be fixed by changing the channel. But running my recordings through Comskip will allow me to analyze and react to these issue.

Need advice on looking for STB powered off with Comskip
I use comskip in conjunction with SageTV. Occasionally one of my cable STBs will power itself off, either due to some maintenance on the part of the cable co. This will result in a recording which is off a totally black screen. I am looking for a way to detect this problem and I am thinking that com...

Re: How do I config for only edl files
Thanks Erik - I was looking for parameters similar to the output_edl setting and I expected something like output_txt=1 and output_logo=1 and output_log=1.

How do I config for only edl files
I use comskip in conjunction with SageTV. How do I configure comskip to only output .edl files as I believe that these are the only files that Sage needs. Currently comskip is creating .edl, .txt, .logo.txt and .log files. I see in the comskip.ini where there is a output_edl=1 but I don't see option...

Re: Comskip crashes on HD PVR recordings
I am also having failures in about 50% of my H.264 files. These are usually hockey or basketball games so the recording is about 2.5 hours in length. These are recorded on an H.264 in SageTV. I just started using the Donator versions so I am using the latest version as of a few dats ago - I think it...

Re: Comskip for Sage setup question
Would there be any reason to start comskip with different parameters for SD vs. HD files? That would be another reason.erik wrote:Better ask this question at the Sage forum.
For comskip there is no difference
But running multiple instances of comskip may result in better loading of a dual or quad core

Comskip for Sage setup question
I have used an earlier version of Comskip in the past for Sage via ComskipMonitor. I am now setting up Comskip to run via SageJobQueue(SJQ) and I will have more flexibility when it comes to file processing. I also plan to donate so that I will have access to comskipping H.264 files (I have an HD-PVR...
