Re: Comclean questions...
The .edl output can be used with ffmpeg to remove whatever has been identified, either using no decoding/encoding for quick processing or combined with transcoding. That would be perfect, actually, since I am already using ffmpeg for final conversions and it seems to work well for that. Is there a ...

Comclean questions...
Where can I find Comclean3 or Comclean4? The file downloads link (http://www.kaashoek.com/files/) lists only Comclean and Comclean2, with a 0KB sized Comclean3.bat and nothing for Comlean4. I am currently trying to use Comclean2, but have had some problems with Cuttermaran crashing, so I will be try...

My Show Specific INIs
While many shows that I record work decently well with a single general INI file, I occasionally have some issues with a few different shows. So, as I have time I have been customising a file for each show to make it work as good as it possibly can. As I come up with new INIs I will post them here. ...

Re: USA OTA HD
Hey WhiteKnight, can you explain briefly what your various INI settings are for certain specific shows/types? I noticed here you posted a different one for 30 minute shows (as opposed to, I assume, what you use for 60 minute shows)? I have been still working on a single overall ini that will work fo...

Re: Big Bang Theory cuts off all but a few minutes
Have you tried using the settings I posted in my thread? I just tested with the Big Bang episode from Tuesday 10-17 and, while not a total success, it did cut out all commercials except for a few short network promos, and I didn't lose any of the show. Just out of curiosity, try my INI and see if yo...

Re: Global Threshold Adjustments? / My INI
Here is a new list of rest results, as I have decided to go ahead and make the changes I previously mentioned since it seems like they are working better. (New list started as of today, 19-Oct-2016. The INI file posted in the first message is also updated as of today.) NOTE: This list contains resul...

Re: Global Threshold Adjustments? / My INI
As I have been testing, I have worked out some adjustments to my INI that will fix some of the noted failures above. I am listing them here because if anyone intends to use my INI, I would recommend trying these changes if you have any similar problems. After each different recording is tested, I ha...

Re: INI file for US OTA cut off jeopardy start
I'll try that setting. I don't fully get what it does, but I'll try. To be honest, I am not totally sure about what it does either, other than the fact that it turns on an additional setting to modify the score. As I understand it (and I could be right on and I could be totally wrong) I believe wha...

Re: INI file for US OTA cut off jeopardy start
Not sure if this will help or not, but I had tried a few episodes of Jeopardy early on in my testing and I was having some issues with comskip NOT cutting out the commercial break which contained the fullscreen logo for a few seconds (see this post: http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopic.php?f=5&...

Re: Global Threshold Adjustments? / My INI
Using the .ini file above, and forcing myself NOT to make any changes until I run a good sample of shows through it (rather than my habit of tweaking it ever so slightly after every show), here is what I am finding (shows organized by network, with date of recording YYYMMDD): ABC Designated Survivor...

Re: Global Threshold Adjustments? / My INI
Don't suppose you could provide a short list of success and failures??? I don't mind testing, it isn't necessary for me to duplicate your results though. I will start keeping a better list of what seems to be working and what doesn't. Unfortunately I haven't been keeping a running list of what didn...

Global Threshold Adjustments? / My INI
I was wondering if anyone else has adjusted the global_threshold parameter in the process of tuning their INI file? I know it says not to change this value in the documentation... BUT, I have been making a lot of tweaks over the last few weeks, and I *think* I am finally getting close to something t...

Re: Closed Captioning and Show Title
Okay, great, so it is working then I guess :D Now, in terms of the score increase, as I understand this is applied based on a multiplier. In the Comskip INI file (using the INI editor), I notice there are 4 options for CC: ccCheck cc_commercial_type cc_wrong_type cc_correct_type First, I am not sure...

Re: Closed Captioning and Show Title
A bit further down in the log file from this same video that I processed, we get to the following. I removed the lines where it is searching for words and phrases that were not found, but left those where it IS finding certain "good" and "bad" ones: Starting to process dictionary...

Re: Closed Captioning and Show Title
Yes, I can confirm the CC is listed in the log file. As a quick example, here is the first section of show from an old Seinfeld episode, which includes the first lines of the show, goes through a commercial, and back into the show: Closed caption transcript -------------------- 0) S: 1 E: 33 L: 31 H...
