Re: How to cut breaks
At a glance in your ini-file this looks like a lot of information and terms im not familiar with. I just copied the OP user's INI file and edited the following: detect_method=132 global_threshold=0.95 delete_show_after_last_commercial=1 delete_show_before_first_commercial=1 Of course you have to ex...

Re: How to cut breaks
Please give me all kind of advice. I suggest you to see also my posts in this thread: http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopic.php?p=8671#p8671 At the moment I'm able to detect cutscenes correctly (and they're displayed in Videoredo as red bookmarks, like in the Ad-Detective scan) and also after t...

Re: Delayed Logo
I do not use logo detection, but I would try one of these: [Global Removes] padding=0 (0-MAXINT) ;Amount of seconds each commercial will be reduced both as start and end. ;;When you always want to see the start and end of the commercial break this can be used. remove_before=0 ;Set the amount of seco...

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
Another small thing... I noticed when compiling the latest git version that it still displays version 0.81.098 when running the program, while you actually changed the version to 0.82.005 in comskip.h.
So I've proposed a PR in GitHub to automatically sync the version number.

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
Many thanks for helping me. I think I found and solved the problem. The updated source is on github so if you can fetch the latest comskip version and rebuild and test? Thanks to you! It works perfectly now, also with the DMP files moved from Windows: root@debian9:~/cskip/Comskip/test/test2# ../com...

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
I tried running under GDB and this is the result (unfortunately I'm not keen on C/C++): root@debian9:~/cskip/Comskip/test/test2# gdb --args ../comskip --ini=./sample.ini --output=. ../Sample.ts GNU gdb (Debian 7.12-6) 7.12.0.20161007-git ... cut ... Reading symbols from ../comskip...done. (gdb) run ...

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
OK, that's fair. I hope I'll be able to move the DMP file from Windows to Linux, though.
If you need something else to track the crash, let me know.

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
OK, so I've created another subfolder test2 to test creating cutscenes directly on Linux VM. I cannot use a GUI, so I hope the following is correct to "extract" cutscenes from the video file: root@debian9:~/cskip/Comskip/test/test2# ../comskip --dump=944 --output=. ../Sample.ts Comskip 0.8...

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
Thanks, I see there is a warning on memory corruption or a double free. Helps to find the problem. Thanks! What is the size of the generated cutscene dump file? Actually I've generated the "paramount1.dmp" and "paramount2.dmp" on a different machine (using ComSkip GUI for Window...

Re: Creating a CutScene File
I was able to solve the problem, eventually, by reading this post: http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopic.php?p=1900#p1900 So the important INI parameter that I was missing was: global_threshold=0.95 ... that toghether with: detect_method=128 delete_show_after_last_commercial=1 delete_show_before...

Re: Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
Is there anything I can do to provide more information to solve this issue? I really would like to run Comskip in Linux and then move it into my NAS (which has the same crashing issues with cutscene, this is why I'm trying debugging in a clean Debian VM). EDIT: Even by setting "verbose=10"...

Double free or corruption crash using cutscenes
Hi, I'm trying to use Comskip compiled from the latest git in a Debian 9.3 x86_64 VM. I built Comskip in this way: apt-get install -y git build-essential libargtable2-dev libsdl1.2-dev libavformat-dev autoconf libtool git clone git://github.com/erikkaashoek/Comskip cd Comskip ./autogen.sh ./configur...

Re: Creating a CutScene File
Yes, I could, but basically I just wanted to know which is the method to make Comskip work in cutscene mode "generally". Set the detect_method=128 and cutscene_threshold=10 (for example), then pass the cutscene files and then...? How would it mark the commercials? I'm already done that but...

Re: Creating a CutScene File
In the GUI you should be able to confirm cutpoints have been added at the cutscenes Are they present? I'm unable to tell from the debugwindow, even after reading the manual; what colour should they be? Here's the result window after processing. http://i.imgur.com/Sh4bmAv.png?1 If I open the resulti...

Re: Creating a CutScene File
I'm trying to tune a specific .ini file for a TV channel that doesn't work with default settings neither with Comskip nor Videoredo Ad-Detective. This cutscene feature works very well, as I captured two DMP files and enabled cutscene mode in my INI file: detect_method=132 ;1=black frame, 2=logo, 4=s...
