Outstanding! I obtained a 29% reduction in processing time from version 0.90 to 0.91 on a 60 min *.tp video (P4 2.8 HT CPU). Thanks! :D

And now you are going to ask me to generate the mencoder command line listing the EDL file, the decimal PID's and the logo removal parameters, and all that for free!!!!! :D You read my mind! I made my paltry donation. Aren't I entitled to personalized technical support and free program customizatio...

Thanks very much. I looked at the Mencoder documentation and it's overwhelming.

Can PIDs be specified with Mencoder to create an *.mpg from a source *.tp/*.ts file? If so, can anyone provide a sample command line using the PID and Comskip-generated *.edl? Thanks.

Drag your video file (or Comskip-generated *.csv or *.txt file) onto ComskipGUI's icon and drop it there.

Not to fear. Nothing I've done has used this method YET. Running Comskip on a 2hr HDTV video though is a long wait.

I am discussing how QSF does its repair on the VRD forum. I'm following. I just posted comments/questions there. I posted the VRD-log.txt file to your FTP (Kerry/Build 89). You are correct that Pussycat Dolls does have some significant dropouts. These are noticable when watching. These will occur f...

I reconfirmed the max_repair_size=0 produces perfect detection on this video. ftp://athome.kaashoek.com/Kerry/b89/American Idol-2007-02-20-0.QSF.MRS0.zip

From http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopic.php?t=365: Comskip uses timing information for the analysis of the commercials. This information has to be accurate for a high quality analysis. The timeline repair enures this timing information is correct. Disabling the timeline repair by setting max_...

Re-running Comskip using different *.ini parameters

Could you explain how to re-run Comskip with different *.ini parameters without running the full detection on the source video file each time?

Could you also test with max_repair_size=200 and see if comskip review agrees with comskip analysis? I fear that I'm now massively confused (once again). Build 89

I just ran across a real problem episode. The program is a little more difficult because it is an ATSC 16:9 broadcast whose material is 4:3 pillarboxed. However, I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. There is complete disagreement between ComskipGUI and VideoRedo about the frame numbering at the c...

Build 89 worked like a charm on that cut. Perfect detection for that video. Thanks for being so diligent about improving Comskip.

I didn't catch the change. Thanks. Since that's true, the default offset should probably be changed to 2 or even 1 (it goes back and forth in my videos).
