Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution

It seems to me a lot of people ask this same question over and over. Maybe it would be an idea for Erik to put output_dvrmstb=1 in the comskip.ini file and just set it to 0 with a REM saying "If you're running DVRMS-Toolbox set this to 1" Just my .02c :mrgreen: I agree that would have bee...

marvin-miller wrote:I think you need both of these in comskip.ini

output_dvrmstb=1
dvrmsstandoff=120000
The output_dvrmstb=1 was enough for me.

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution

If I'm not wrong with your log, the process has last for only 20 seconds. So I suppose comskip has failed in some way. I see too that the file is in dvr-ms format, not wtv. Regards! I believe that is in Days:Hours:Minutes.seconds format, so it's 20 minutes not 20 seconds. And yes in this case it's ...

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution

OK here's where I am so far. I downloaded the latest version of comskip (81_017) from the donators page using the email you sent. I updated the ini file to use the adjusted parameters I had previously tweaked (not many, the detect_method, the volume_slip, and output_videoredo). I realized that I wa...

OK I will try. The forums there are kind of weird though. I thought since it's a simple thing, and he bundles comskip with his toolbox that you might know.

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution

Hi, I've been using ComSkip reliably for years now on my Vista machine. Well I've been building a new dream PC with Windows 7, and I'm hoping that ComSkip will work on the new .WTV format. I saw this thread, and I'm more than happy to donate to get the latest version. Two questions: How do I become...

Re: Audio Sync in HD off air recordings

I know we emailed back and forth a few times, and I posted a smaller sample for you. Since then I haven't heard anything, so I'm just checking to see if you downloaded the clip successfully or not.

Re: Audio Sync in HD off air recordings

I am for sure interrested. Send me the link at erik@comskip.org OK I'll be sending you the link momentarily. Sorry it took so long, it's around 7.5 GBs so it took me about 40 hours to upload it to my webserver! (Stupid ASDL) Anyway it's basically a zipped up and encrypted version of the original DV...

Re: Audio Sync in HD off air recordings

Well I can understand that. I've been beating my head against a wall trying to get one particular DTV recording to demux properly so that I can use it in an editor (preferably Cuttermaran). No matter what tool I've tried so far I have audio sync issues, and yet the original DVR-MS file plays fine, a...

Re: Audio Sync in HD off air recordings

I know this is an old thread, but it's what came up when I searched, and that's what you're supposed to do right? :D Anyway I have a similar situation except I have a 1800 card and I'm using Vista Media Center to do the recordings. I have had issues with the audio in Cuttermaran as well, but it appe...
