Everything good until end

I haven't been using Comskip for several years as I had moved to Tivo. Now I'm back using SageTV and the detection is nearly flawless until the very end and then it puts a lot of show segments back in commercials. I'm trying to figure out what this last step is to remove that step, but I haven't had...

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I upgraded to Windows 8 and while configuring DirMon2 I noticed that the comskip threads are launching with the --ini parameter after the filename in the command line. Would this work or would the ini parameter be ignored?

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

I just tried the new version live with ts files containing h.264 encoded Hauppaugue Colossus files and unfortunately it "finishes" before completing. I have logs and will post if this is a valid test. I understand that the current focus is on wtv files and I'm not using them.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

I just got a chance to try this with UNC paths and it works perfectly. Thanks ghostlobster.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

In my setup I never put the '.' before any of the extensions if I recall correctly. I also always fill in the Must Not Exist field. Finally I also check the Search Subdirectories box.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

Awesome. That solves one of the two issues I have left with the latest version. Now all that's left is live detection.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

It was my understanding that a command line such as: comskip \\server\share\file.ts would not actually work. I would be ecstatic to be mistaken though.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

Which version of comskip are you using? I thought that was the limiting factor.

Re: Any Alternative to DTb File Watcher?

Are you processing files via a UNC path? I thought that didn't work.

Re: Live feedback

I tried version 81.34 this weekend with live detection. Unfortunately it's still not working right for me. About 2/3 of the way through an hour program it just quits. This is closer, but still not done yet. Any tweaks I should be trying?

Live Detection with Donators Version

Are you going to be turning back on live detection with the donator's version any time soon?

Re: INI file is not used if processed file is in network sha

Did anybody ever resolve this? I'm running into the same problem now that I am using For the Record and it requires UNC for recording paths.

Detection near perfect, but goes really bad

I've got comskip nearly perfect most of the time, but lately I've been seeing several occasions where it looks good while processing and everything gets screwed up just before it finishes processing. What is it enforcing at the very end?

Version 80.17

Erik,

I saw your post that 80.17 was available, but when I go to the donators section to download I only see up through 80.16. Is there someplace else it might be located?

Edit:

I found it, you have it labelled as 80.0017 instead of 80.017 so it didn't float to the bottom of the list.
