Setting start of FIRST commercial (only) to non-zero value

My shows typically have a first commercial so my .edl typically look like this: 0.00 77.40 3 710.64 858.72 3 1495.56 1585.20 3 2214.48 2307.84 3 3025.80 3151.80 3 3920.88 4075.08 3 In Kodi using XNEWA (NextPVR) it doesn't like the 0.00 but seems OK with a non-zero number for the first commercial. Re: Error in the log

Will try, but I am on a pretty slow connection so 2.26G will take a while! btw I put you slightly wrong above there, I ran 75 again and it does seem to have produced cuts like 70. The one that did not work may have been 74 or the PC gave up and went to sleep. 75 does however produce a 14MB log file,...

Re: Error in the log

I enabled the ftp server again Can you upload a recording that fails with comskip 0.81.075? Create a separate folder for your upload Mail me when the upload is done. Sure Erik, thanks for the help. I cut a 20MB snippet off the original 2.2GB file. It is uploading now. Let me know if this is too sma...

Re: Error in the log

Yes. The detection with 75 is very poor. That message kept repeating and repeating, causing a large log file, then there were essentially no cuts at ad-breaks. With 70, which I just ran, it finds 4 ad-breaks - perfectly. I can send you sets of cut/log files from both, but the forum doesn't allow att...

Re: Error in the log and does not find shows

I seem to be having a similar error message with the recent builds, including the latest. Seems to be something with multiple language and out of date ffmpeg? Should I download ffmpeg and put it in the same folder or just revert to 0.81.071, as above? ################################################...

Re: Cutting too much show and looking for frame viewer for H

Can you convert the time stamps to frame numbers using the frame rate? Otherwise I have to do that manually and given the support questions I get it is too much effort....... Sure! If that's how it is done, I assume it is not VBR and you can point me to where I can find the frame rate? Is it the 25...

Cutting too much show and looking for frame viewer for H264

Hi Erik, I read your sticky on cutting too much. I am getting this problem since our FTA DVB feed went to HD (H264) Recordings, from the old SD ones. I tried lower detect methods (was 127, now 43) with no success. Will send you verbose output as per your other sticky. My question is this: I used to ...

OK I uploaded both. Not sure if it helps you at all?

Re: Help with version 81_031, not finding recordings

I must admit, I am finding 81_023 gives better results, I have no HD recordings.
You helped me fix one channel using 81_031 (thanks!) with the new parameter ticker_tape_percentage but the other channels went out of whack (cut too much) with or without that parameter.

But you can drag and drop only ONE mpeg at a time on comskip.
Ah, OK Thanks!

Wish for cleanup like delete_logo_file=1

Erik,

I did a drag and drop on comskip.exe and delete_logo_file=1 cleans up the Mpeg.log.txt nicely, but leaves the Mpeg.log. I understand that the .log is not needed, only the .txt file. Is it possible to have comskip clean that up too?

Hi erik. This is more a Q on expected behaviour when drag/dropping multiple mpg's SIMULTANEOUSLY on comskip than any GBPVR problems. I tried 4#, while GBPVR was recording and it took a high CPU load for a while BUT it didn't make the comskip txt files. No crashes though. Should it work with >1 .mpg ...

The logo threshold could be needed because of a very faint station logo and I always use the cut on ar change myself, like many other people.
OK, cheers, just wanted to check!

Hi Erik, I reinstalled WinXP and GBPVR the other day, so thought I'd have a go at the most up-to-date (super-fast Build 91) comskip. I also thought I'd try the default ini see if there were any changes recently which allowed the above detection WITHOUT these two: logo_threshold=0.50 AND cut_on_ar_ch...
