Re: 24/7 News Channels with Ticker

@erik

Can you help me out with this?

I don't understand all of the tunable parameters but I think that these shows should be very easy for comskip to get because there is always a very distinct logo on the screen until just before commercial.

I added the csv to the zip

24/7 News Channels with Ticker

I have a problem that I am pretty sure that has been addressed already and would hope that someone could give me a couple settings to try for eliminating commercials for shows on these channels. Currently, Comskip has major problems with any of the shows on the channel, it skips around and can't und...

Sure, I'll start reading the post now to follow instructions. I have a local HTTP server so you can download things as well.

Re: Anyone have an ini for US tv channels?

On channels with station logos on ads, it won't include that in the skip segment.

Most TV shows include a rating when returning from commercial break. Also, a lot of shows end with a1-2 minute conclusion at the end of the show, within 1-2 minutes before the of the end of the recording.

Anyone have an ini for US tv channels?

I have been searching and searching for some decent settings but have yet to find them. Don't understand how to tune comskip but would really appreciate it if you could post something that you'd use for default and maybe something for cbs

Re: Comskip and Windows Server 2008 R2 Core Standard

I see what is happening... Comskip processes the file and then when it has more data to wait for on a recording program, it lays dormant forever. More than an hour. I usually just terminate the process if it's completely stuck. I have thread_count=1 and a wait time of 5 minutes. Something I read her...

And I searched it, there was no "Recording" line on the log file.

Re: Comskip and Windows Server 2008 R2 Core Standard

I installed a regular server version and Dirmon2 worked fine. That was an all afternoon project! (Not to mention the deployment of a second (backup) DHCP server.) 22Mb (Not MB) ps average for 2 workers. Not congesting my network with 3 tuners in use.. Good stuff. Looks like I don't have to change my...

Re: Comskip and Windows Server 2008 R2 Core Standard

I finally got around to setting this up on a VM Core server. It doesn't work very well with DVRMSToolbox or DirMon.

What directory monitoring tool should I use?

Re: Comskip and Windows Server 2008 R2 Core Standard

The recordings are stored in the living room on the media center attached to the TV. I will run comskip through the MoCA network on a networked Domain core server (not a DC).. The server is just something I'll be running Comskip on, it's not a NAS or anything. The Media Center is an i2-3220 and the ...

Re: Comskip and Windows Server 2008 R2 Core Standard

How much bandwidth does comskip need? Thinking about doing this through my network and trying to lay out a network plan.
