Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
Ok Erik. Thanks for all! Maybe, if live_tv is difficult, another possibility can be that comskip detects if the wtv file is finished or not and makes a pause waiting for the end of the record. Now, some programs like DVRMSToolbBox make this taking a look at the size of the file, but it is very diffi...

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
I only want to say thanks to Erik. I'm trying your latest donators version (81_023) and it is superb. It scans ok all my wtv files and the accuracy is near perfect. Good job!!!
Will it be possible that we can see in a near future live_tv?
Regards and thanks for your hard work!!

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
If I'm not wrong with your log, the process has last for only 20 seconds. So I suppose comskip has failed in some way.
I see too that the file is in dvr-ms format, not wtv.
Regards!

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
OK here's where I am so far. I downloaded the latest version of comskip (81_017) from the donators page using the email you sent. I updated the ini file to use the adjusted parameters I had previously tweaked (not many, the detect_method, the volume_slip, and output_videoredo). I realized that I wa...

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
Maybe you're using dvrmstoolbox?QuadraQ wrote: Another question: On my old Vista machine I had ComSkip setup to automatically process the dvr-ms files. But it was so long ago I forgot how I did that. Is there a way to do that with the newest version and the wtv files? If so, how? Thanks.

Hi Erik. Does this version solve some of the problems of the beta?
- Crash in some files
- Wrong position for commercials detected (some seconds ahead the real point)
Regards!

Re: H264 & MPEG2 WTV Support - my reliable solution
I use a lot comskip with livetv. In a first stage it will be ok without support of it, but it will be great if it will be supported in a future...
If you want, I can make some tests of livetv support in different beta versions.
Regards!

Re: Windows 7 .WTV file format support
Here we are one year later!!
I've seen that ffmpeg have some experimental version with WTV support. Can you use this to support WTV in comskip?
Now I'm using ShowAnalyzer, but I prefer comskip if it worked with WTV
Regards!
