Re: Provide ini for each country
I initially thought about a web application but its much simpler to have a separate group where people can post or add using the country name as subject line. Would that work? Yup that would work just as easy. To make it better, be sure that people can upload *.ini files on the forum and it would b...

Re: SKip back does not wotk
I use VAP, ComSkip & VideoRedo on Windows 7 MC - it works well but the VAP author doesn't understand the merits of live detection  The benefit of using VAP/VideoRedo is that you have many choices for your input/output file format and you can also automate frame-accurate H.264 editing witho...

Re: File Cleanup
I used to be fluent in DVRMS-Toolbox but since VAP came about I stopped using it. For me, VAP does pretty much everything I need even though it's not as comprehensive as DVRMS-Toolbox. It costs more in that you have to purchase Video Redo but for me it's been pretty much 100% since February this yea...

Re: File Cleanup
You'll probably have more success with DVR-MS Toolbox questions on their site => http://babgvant.com/forums/
In fact, I think that questions been asked many times over there and there may be a FAQ on it

Re: Looking for help to test live TV support for WTV and DVR
I'm curious too - even though VAP doesn't support it I'd love to hear how it's working.

Re: Looking for help to test live TV support for WTV and DVR
Way to go! Don't feel bad about the late Win7 switch, I just changed over a couple of months ago (but it's nice to know that I wasn't the last one  ). I like the idea of going 64bit at some point. I'm also running 7x64 and try to use x64 apps where possible. For myself, I was just curious a...

Re: Looking for help to test live TV support for WTV and DVR
Agreed - in fact I was wondering the same thing and was going to inquire as well. The problem is, the app I'm using doesn't support live detection but I'm still curious to see what the scoop is. I'm recording H.264 in the .WTV container.

Skip Scanning Certain Channels?
Hi erik;
Just a quick question, can comskip itself be configured to not scan certain channels?
Some of my channels are commercial-free and don't need scanning. I know this is usually done on the client software but thought I would ask just in case

Re: New VideoReDo format
Basically, yes. I was under the impression that you would have to tweak your .vprj output to make it work but I haven't had an issue yet - even if the .vprj output is not 'optimal' it seems to me to be fine. I've processed +/- 100 shows with no issues so perhaps it's a non-issue

Re: New VideoReDo format
I'm starting to wonder if it's worth changing. The folks at VideoRedo kindly changed the code to support the old-style logs generated by ComSkip so it works at present with the latest VideoRedo beta.
Maybe we're just chasing down something that's not worth the effort?
What do you think Erik?
