Re: Comskip won't work for AMC
BTW, I ended up with 'banding' from using component in. It seems there was some interference getting into the component lines and it was showing up as a slowly moving band that travelled vertically up the screen. I'd seen it before and it was caused by bad cables (this was my second set). I finally ...

Re: comskip processing prematurely
It's very powerful (DVRMS-Toolbox) though I haven't used it for years. A fellow made VAP a while back and if you have video redo it's ideal and very easy to use.

Logo Location
Hi Erik! I might have asked this before but I think it's worth checking again - is there any way to make comskip weight the logo location? Here's the thing, a lot of my recordings have broadcaster commercials which is messing up commercial detection. During the show (not commercials) the logo is in ...

Re: Great Product and Legacy Support
Same here. I just upgraded my old system to a Quad Core and this caused me to re-visit some of my .ini settings. I've been using Comskip for about 10 years now - it really rocks! Hats off to Eric for keeping it up and running and the maturity it's gone through over the years is awesome!!

Re: Comskip won't work for AMC
If you're referring to me I'm using Windows 7 as the DVR and it's using component in. HDCP does not travel over Component In. Therefore, no protection issues. I record probably 5 hours or more per day, all day, every day. I have about 750 recorded Movies and many series on file. Most of those channe...

Re: Comskip won't work for AMC
I record and process in .WTV - no issues - but I am using component out to the DVR. It was the easiest/fastest way to work around the issue.

Re: Comskip won't work for AMC
I have no idea what those things are (qosimo?) but the point is, encryption, historically, does not 'travel' over component video. It does over HDMI and I'm guessing it may work over S-Video but unless things have changed recently, component out has always stopped encryption cold

Re: Comskip won't work for AMC
I'm using component out from my set top box and this removes all encryption. My AMC recordings are flawless. Zero commercials

0.81.081 - So Far So Good :)
I just installed it yesterday and it's processed about 10 shows with very good results. Thanks for keeping up Comskip Eric - it's great!
Re: Thanks
Same here - a big thanks to Eric and also to the person that created the comskip .ini editor. Really nice to see that Comskip is still being kept up and it works really well for me - has been for years now.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Re: Not getting to Videoredo
Just for the record, I had used Beyond TV for ages, and you can definitely set up multiple folders in the web interface. I had multiple folders set up, and it had no issue with this. I don't have BTV still installed, and I can't remember what happened when I manually moved files, since it's been qu...
