Minor bug in Unicode filename version 81_038
Did notice after some testing that "delete_logo_file=1" in comskip.ini gets ignored when the filename contains unicode characters and the logo file stays untouched after comskip is done. No unicode characters in filename the logo file gets deleted as it should. Comskip was started from the...

Re: quiet here
Yes, I do archive some, but lesser and lesser.
Experimenting with XBMC right now and it seem do ok reading .edl files. Not very smooth playback between cuts though, but it will do. You're right it's time to scrap the video editors entirely. Again, big thanks for your excellent work

Re: quiet here
Unicode support available in build 0.81.038 At least it runs on my system. Try first by dragging and dropping a recording with a unicode filename on comskip.exe and see if it succeeds. Only then try inside your favourite PVR application. Awesome :D It works perfect...even better than anticipated! T...

Re: quiet here
Hi Erik! Did spend some time looking into the "CMD Window" alternatives and found getting cmd.exe to display unicode is impossible due to the bugs still lurking in there. Then I found something that may work passing unicoded filenames to comskip. Powershell ISE supports unicode characters ...

Re: quiet here
I know other developers solved it by using an internal small lib which emulates a "cmd window" abled to handle unicode. For example when starting ffmpeg for files with unicode file names a CreateProcessW argument is used.

Re: quiet here
I usually pass the recordings to comskip through the console in the "latest_file" variable in my AHK_L unicode script. Like this: Comskip_location := "C:\Program\Comskip\comskip.exe" latest_file := "D:\TV\Recording Service\20120427_20-59-01_TV8_Billy Elliot - ★★★★★★★★☆☆.ts&q...

Next steps:
1: make liveTV in .ts work.
2: 64 bit comskip? Not sure it add's any value except it may enable HW accelerated decoding. But only one comskip at a time.
3: CC decoding and processing

Re: Unicode trouble
Wondering where you are in the development roadmap regarding adding support for unicode filenames? I suppose the easiest way to go would be to implement unicode only for file handling. That would solve the major part of our troubles and making convertion of the whole Comskip to unicode unnecessary (...

Re: Unicode trouble
Wasnt my intention to question your priorities. I understand these points are the most important ones. Just wanted to know if unicode migration was on the to do list. Well, I guess that will reveal itself in time.
