Re: Not getting to Videoredo
Ah....you mean BeyondTV only reads and writes to one folder? Man, that must make for a pretty cluttered folder after a while. I don't have the specific answer for you but I'm certain I saw this issue once on the VAP forums and that a solution was created for it. The VAP forum's not that big, I'd thi...

Re: Not getting to Videoredo
Hmmmmm....after looking VAP some more, I am not so sure it will work with my setup. Since I am running a single 4 core machine with a 1 tb drive, I dont think this will work. VAP requires that there are 3 separate folders setup. Beyond TV will only allow 1 to be setup (if you aren't using folder po...

Re: Not getting to Videoredo
I don't think you can schedule it, at least not through the interface or by native design. What it is a very straightforward and simple file watcher that passes off the file to VideoRedo for processing. You tell it what format you want and if you want QSF, ComSkip etc and away it goes. Having said t...

Re: Not getting to Videoredo
Good - I'm glad it's relevant. I don't think it matters what DVR solution you use. What matters is only if VideRedo can read/work with the file. As far as I can see, that's the only limitation. From the quick glance I took at your post it sounded like you are using VideoRedo to work with the recordi...

Re: Batch file wont run VideoRedo...sometimes
If you're using Windows 7/Media Center and VideoRedo then I would suggest you look into VAP - it's a free add-in that watches the recorded TV directory and then processes files using ComSkip or VideoRedo's built-in commercial scanner (not recommended). I used DVRMS-Toolbox for years doing all sorts ...

Re: Not getting to Videoredo
I haven't read through this post (so I may be way off base) but if you're using VideoRedo and trying to do commercial detection/removal under Windows then you really should try out VAP - it's free and works and it's very simple. It replaced DVRMS-Toolbox for me long ago. If this post is off-base the...

Re: New VideoReDo format
Hi, Can I ask what quality of show did you used on? I was trying with h264 codec, HD shows. As far as I can remember, the SD show seems fine with MPEG2 codec. Is that the case with you as well? I'm recording with a Hauppauge Colossus which is H.264. It's set at the highest bitrate it supports and b...

Re: New VideoReDo format
I'm using the latest VRD version (whatver beta is the latest) and I'm not seeing any real issues yet. I always get the odd error but generally this is due to the QSF procedure and it doesn't happen often.

Re: 10 minute delay - Can it be turned off?
Yes You need to set standoff_size to a non zero value to enable the user settings and then standoff_initial_wait to the amount of seconds for the initial wait and standoff_time to the amount to wait till completion. With these settings; standoff_size =1 ; size in kByte to stay away from the end of ...

Re: 10 minute delay - Can it be turned off?
OK, so before this feature was added, how long did comskip wait? I never had an issue with it so those values should be fine.

Re: 10 minute delay - Can it be turned off?
Now available as user setting. Changes on 0.81.049 - Added settings for live tv processing. The default settings should work for NPVR .ts recording and MCE .wtv recording (see comskip.txt) . You MUST set standoff_size > 0 otherwise the defaults will be used. standoff_retries = times to retry if the...

Re: How to use the donator version with MCE/DVRms-toolbox
People report success with the latest comskip build and starting comskip to process a .wtv file 10 minutes after the recording has started. It kind of bugs me that you forced the latest comskip releases to wait 10 minutes before processing a file. I never had any issues with it and, as I said above...

Canada - Shaw Digital Cable
These are mostly stock settings but I'm not having any real issues with commercial detection at all. In fact, the only commercials I usually get left with are the broadcaster's own commercials where they leave the logo up. detect_method=43 ; 1=black frame, 2=logo, 4=scene change, 8=fuzzy logic, 16=c...

10 minute delay - Can it be turned off?
Hi Folks; I've noticed there seems to be a 10 minute delay before comskip starts processing my .wtv files. I never had an issue with this before and I'd like to turn it off as it's wasting 10 minutes per show. It seems to have been introduced in this release; Changes on 0.81.045 - Increased the wait...
