Comskip is unable to decode the audio on some types of recordings.
I welcome receiving a short recording where this happens.

Comskip never removes commercials, it only detects
When you have a single 5 minute commercial you may need to tune some setting.

Drag and drop a recording onto COmskipGUI.exe
Or start COmskipGUI.exe with the path to the recording as a parameter

They may use shared libraries instead of static linkage
The tool chain problem started with build 007.

The problem is in a combination of static linking an dynamic linking with conflicting references. This can not be solved by a user. I have to wait till the toolchain I use is fixed.

For commercials such as this long commercial you have to set
min_show_segment_length=350

YOu can test hy saving the old plex comskip version and copy the new version over the old one

Interesting problem situation.
The text at the bottom of the commercials is decoded as logo.
Therefore you have to disable the block scoring on the presence of logo by setting
logo_present_modifier=1
Logo detection is still value for joining blocks

It works with WMC but the newest build only works on windows 10
It because mingw, the tool chain I have to use because of libavcodec, has caused an incompatibility.

But if plex is building its own comskip executable they may have changed something......

Just put comskip.ini next to the recording and start comskipGUI with one parameter, the recording.
This will allow you to quickly test comskip
