Does the position of parameters in comskip.ink matter
Does it matter in what order the parameters are in comskip.ini? I'd like to move everything I've changed to the bottom of the file so could I put say detection method, shrink logo, volume slip, brightness, etc together or do they have to stay in a similar place to where they originally are? Also is i...

Re: Option for start logo searching at Timeline X
That's odd, it did the first scan for logo pass, found the first logo then restarted and rescanned the lot. The first logo it found is similar in shape and position to the second one so it sort of detected the second one but not very well with many dropouts.
Is that how it should work?

Re: Option for start logo searching at Timeline X
Erik, did you ever find a solution for this? I have to deliberately start my records 5 minutes early due to missing the start of many shows. This means comskip sometimes learns the logo from the previous program. Maybe an option to start logo search from x frames in to go with the give_up_logo_searc...

Re: Logo timing confusion
trying them now, I'm working on a few channels at HD to it'll take some time to sort something that works. I now understand more about generating cutpoints though, thanks

Logo timing confusion
I'm trying to make sense of the logo timing settings and after looking at the manual I find: shrink_logo=5 ;Each (dis)appearance of logo is assumed to be the given amount of seconds realier/later ;;Sometimes logo extends into the commercial for a couple of seconds. Use this to shrink the logo so it ...

Re: Request - logo percentage display
superb - is there any documentation on this - apologies if I've missed it!
There seems to be about 25 black frames between ad breaks which might help.

Re: Request - logo percentage display
superb, I'll work with that. I've learnt a lot about how it works in the last few days and even difficult logos seem to be working with much experimentation.
Do you have any suggestions as to what is likely to work on a channel with no logo or is it easier to just skip manually?

Re: Request - logo percentage display
in the csv works for me, but all I can find is either 1 or 0 in the logo column - what are the unlabeled columns for? are the frames in the csv likely to match the frames when viewed in videoredo? I use skip_b_frames=2 in case this makes any difference. The columns I have are labelled: frame brightn...

Re: Request - logo percentage display
I do, is there any way of seeing what the value is on a frame by frame basis? I've had a couple of instances where the logo has returned prematurely and I've needed to do a lot of playing with the parameters to get reliable detection. If there was any way of finding a problem frame, rescanning and s...

Request - logo percentage display
Is there any chance of having the logo percentage display in the debug window when stepping through the results on a frame by frame basis? I know there already is a bar graph but if I click on each individual frame the logo either says what the threshold is set to or 0. This change would make logo t...

Re: NZ Freeview Log Errors
In case anyone else needs help with NZ Freeview, my solution to this problem was to use VideoReDo V4 to convert the files to H264 with MP2 sound as Comskip can't decode the AAC-LATM sound used in NZ.

Delete trailers at end of commercial breaks
I've got comskip working quite well on NZ freeview files but for some reason it always ends the commercials on the end of a show trailer rather than at the start of the main show. Can anyone give me some tips to try and sort this? The flow goes: Show segment > big channel logo screen COMSKIP CUT >tr...
