Re: New VideoReDo format
VideorReDo V5 beta has been released. When trying the output_videoredo3=1 format for V5 I can only say it works barely, but sucks big time. Not a single scenemarker. My trimscript which relies on the scenemarkers wont work using this. Would it be possible to get a videoredo5 output format? If so i c...

Re: New VideoReDo format
It's a bit confusing... So, if invoking comskip via command line outputting --videoredo3 project files, you can still use: output_videoredo=1 ; The old videoredo format ...in the comskip.ini and don't need to activate the new ini command output_videoredo3=1 ; The new videoredo v3 format. ...correct?...

This wasnt applied to the v.059, yes? Cant notice any difference in results comparing 058 with 059.erik wrote:My 15% rule may be better changed to first/last 5 or 10 minutes to facilitate short recordings to be processed.

Re: EDL file format output - incorrect
Huge mistake on my end. I was assuming based solely on threadstarters words that XBMC failed reading the EDL. I am not using EDLs and XBMC myself, but VPrjs and Videoredo. Decided to install XBMC and check for myself and it reads the EDL just fine and nothing wrong if using cuts or skipping either. ...

Re: EDL file format output - incorrect
Ah, I now see the problem! Wine developers refuses to make wine reliability detectable mainly cuz they don't want windows app programmers start blocking wine users from utilizing windows software and they are also afraid of cross-platform viruses attacking linux. Well, that makes it quite difficult ...

Re: EDL file format output - incorrect
Does wine tell you that you are using Linux? I don't know anything about wine I don't know anything about wine either. However my thought was something like this: #ifdef __linux__ //linux code goes here #elif _WIN32 || _WIN64 //windows code goes here #else //as far as I understand wine emulates win...

Re: comskip live tv detection ends early
I was recording a sports game and I comskip made a huge gap that wasn't even a commercial. I did a manual scan and it detected the commercials fine. Why did it have problems doing it during the live scan? Is there a solution? Your findings could probably be explained by: Only at the very end of pro...

Re: EDL file format output - incorrect
Do I need to change it back to Windows format? No, not necessarily, because you could have both! Just let Comskip check which OS it is runned on and adapt/condition the EDL output format accordingly. If Comskip takes a direction not supporting Windows anymore and breaking support for all Windows ba...

Re: EDL file format output - incorrect
Yes, you are right! If bringing up the edl in notepad all line feeds are gone, but if opening it in notepad++ line feeds are there. Strange indeed!

Re: Delete before first and after last commercial in seconds
The delete before / after are designed to only remove small fractions of the recording. Therefore the 15% rule. One option for you is to tune the amount you record before/after the actual show. Presumably reduce the duration. Unfortunately with the PVR software I'm using the option to tune the amou...

Re: Delete before first and after last commercial in seconds
I finally managed to find out why Comskip often doesn't delete previous show and the show after the current one, despite having them set like this: delete_show_before_first_commercial=1 delete_show_after_last_commercial=1 As it seems it has very little to do with logo detection, black frames or max_...

Re: Force trip beginning/end?
Delete before and after current show only works when there is a very short commercial break between the shows. I have 3 channels since way back where "delete_show_before_first_commercial=1" and "delete_show_after_last_commercial=1" doesnt work despite very short commercial break...
