I have removed the SD video size limitation in Comskip
The maxium video size is now 2000x1200
An experimental HD version of comskip can be downloaded from http://mk.kaashoek.com/gbpvr/comskipHDbeta.zip
All SD processing is as it used to be so you can use it for both SD and HD
Audio processing on HD is not yet operational so the result may be less accurate
Input can only be a Program Stream, Transport Stream does not work yet
I appriciate your feedback

Think you can get .ts working? I use SageTV v4.0.0 w/ an ATI All in Wonder HDTV and two AverMedia A180's... Got 250 gigs of .ts files, no .ps files.

I understand .ts can contain multiple streams, payloads, and has levels of error correction built in. I realize its more sophisticated to parse through than .ps, coupled along with the mpeg2 stream format can change payload to payload, 720p in one, then 1080i in another and at different frame rates...

Sorry, not for some time.
There are tools to convert TS to PS.
Suggest you use them for the moment.

No need for this special version anymore

All newer Comskip versions can handle 2000*1200 pixels and are thus HD capable.

Please test and feedback

TS the same as TP?

Beyond TV produces TP, which contain multiple TS streams. I have tested the latest ComSkip against tp, with ProjectX output. Comskip seems to scan, and builds a ProjectX output, but in my single test, it cut everything Except the first commercial. I have no experience with HD, just a few HD (tp) recordings, so I don't know really know how much tp differes from ts, if at all. I have used HDTV2MPEG2 against TP, although it claims no support for TP, just TS, but HDTV2MPEG does work for TP.

For completeness sake.

All recent Comskip builds can process HD up to 2000*1200 resolution
