Looking for Comskip tester for DVB or ATSC TS input

Post by erik »

Anyone out there that can help me in testing the new transport stream input for Comskip?

I tried on a HD TS recording and it seems to work.

Hi Erik.

I can help test with DVB-T .ts files. What would you like me to try?

BTW, great progress on this awesome tool. I've almost finished testing it here in Oz. :)

Thanks heaps for all your work!

Adrian.

Download version 0.79 build 23

It contains TS input capability and some other nice improvements.

The input is not yet autosensing, you have to tell if its PS or TS input.
I am working on making it automatic.

I actually would like to have a DVB-T TS recording to test.
Can you upload to my ftp server?
I will send you the details in a PM

OK, will upload a sample tonight when I get home. :)

Just a heads-up... most of the time I use Project-X to demux my .ts files. and then remux back to .mpg. This takes care of errors/glitches in the stream which are fairly common and cause a lot of programs to fail or produce out-of-sync results.

Would you prefer a clean or dirty sample? Both?

Adrian.

I tried both.

The full (dirty?) sample failed to work.
The mux sample seems to work but I still have to do something to make it realy usable.

Thanks for both.

Maybe it was too short? If you want, I'll send you a longer full-TS example.

No, also another program that is able to read TS could not do anything with it.
The format seems too difficult for the moment.
