Thread count
What's the maximum thread count for maximum ComSkip editing? Mine is currently set at 2. I'm running it on an Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz and with 16 GB or ram.
Re: Thread count
I see speed improvements for h.264 with thread count up till 4, above the impact is less
Plain mpeg2 has less benefits from higher thread count
Better to set lowres. (only for donator version)
With the new build you can set
lowres=10
and comskip will automatically take the best setting for the best speed with good detection quality

Re: Thread count
OK. Thanks. I didn't find a lowres setting in the .ini so I added it. I'm using the 81_083 dated August 17. I usually just update the .exe but not the .ini.
Re: Thread count
Set
verbose=10
and the log file will show ALL possible ini file settings
Many more then included by default in the ini file
Or use the comskipinieditor

Re: Thread count
I do have verbose set to 10 and I'm using the donator version and I see the lowres setting in the log file. It says lowres=0. I'm assuming that adding a lowres=10 line in the .ini will change that after the next recording. Thanks again for all your help.
