Ignoring chyron

The Weather Channel in the USA runs a chyron with current observations along the bottom of the frame during shows and commercials. Comskip detects only two short intervals, which aren't commercials. I tried changing detect_method from 43 to 41 to ignore logo but that made no difference.
Is there a fix? Is there some way to tell comskip to ignore a portion of the frame?
