multiple HDTV streams

Post by rac8006 »

Is there a way in comskip to tell comskip which stream to scan for commericals? Beyond TV scans the wrong stream at times. In the detroit area when I record channel 7.1 I also get 7.2 and 7.3. Beyond TV tends to scan 7.3 which is the weather channel.

Thanks RAC :(

When no video PID is specified comskip will autoselect a video PID.
When you set verbose=10 comskip will list in the log file the available video PID's
Then you can select in the command line the video PID you want.

It is NOT possible to select a channel by name as I do not know how to parse the program channel name table

Thanks for the response. I tried looking thru the manual and did not see a command for selecting the pid to scan.

Thanks RAC

The readme.txt contains the latest information.
The manual is outdated but there is not enough time to update
