OK, one last thing. I noticed that this line in comskip.ini;
disable_heuristics=4
has not had the ; before the comments for some time now
Just a thought, but I've been ading it manually for the last few releases
Woops... also it seems that the threadcount line is missing in the new comskip.ini

Re: Comskip on a quad core CPU
and....the results are in
Filetype = 60 minutes H.264 High-Definition .wtv file
Processor = i3 540
Threads = 4 results in 93-99% CPU usage across all cores and scanning completes in 10 minutes 55 seconds <=wahoo!
Threads = 2 results in 50-53% CPU usage on 3 cores and scanning completes in 15 minutes
Threads = 1 results in 25-28% CPU usage and scanning completes in 26 minutes 30 seconds
Well done! I'd say you fixed it
BTW, it looks like commerical detection is very good with this release...
I think I'm going to have to upgrade to a quad-core i7 and see what the speeds are like....
Thanks Eric - Nicely done!

Re: Comskip on a quad core CPU
I am using the newest donator with thread=4 on 10.7.x 2.6 i7 Quad Core I am seeing 50% and 300% to Wine which is better then before. I will have to add in some of the other config other users have posted as well.
