I've uploaded some logs to the JREkiwi directory on the FTP server.
I did spend some to to understand but no progress yet.
The demux is failing big time and none of the other players I tested could play the content.
Do you know any open source players that can play the content?
I've not found anything that will play them except
SageTVPlayer.exe = modified MPlayer
SagetTVTranscoder.exe = modified FFmpeg
Is there any way to use them?
Last time I talked to the guys at SageTV about problems demuxing their files they offered to help devs with problems. You could contact them via their normal bug submission process at http://sagetv.com/bugs.html
I have the exact same problem. All HDPVR recordings fail with SageTV 7. What's interesting is comskip 0.80.027 works. However, when I tried 0.80.028, 0.80.029, 0.80.030, and 0.80.031 they all gave the same error. I'm not sure that it's truly a SageTV7 problem, When I was using SageTV6 I was using comskip 0.80.027. I didn't try comskip version 0.80.028 or above until yesterday (I've been running SageTV7 and comskip 0.80.027 for a few months now and they've worked fine other than the accuracy of the commercial detection).
Also, regarding open source players that will play the files. VLC and MPlayer work (along with Microsoft Media Player in Windows 7). I've also converted the shows with both ffmpeg and Handbrake and they convert fine.
Is there any other information we can provide to help?
Eric, is there any way that Comskip could be set up to use SageTV's MpegDeMux.ax as that demuxes all these things and supports the audio on NZ DVB recordings too.
About 6 weeks ago I tried the latest ffmpeg build that is supposed to work on wtv
It crashed on the .wtv test files I received from various users.
Will try to keep track of the developments and as soon as ffmpeg does not crash I will start to look how to integrate.
