Empty output file on failure?

Post by evilpenguin »

I've recently added firewire recording from a cable box to my HTPC and I've noticed that some of the shows recorded this way always fail in comskip. And the failure isn't my problem, I'm sure these are pretty screwed up transport streams, but my problem is that Dirmon2 keeps trying to process these files over and over again until I delete them. This is a problem because they never leave the queue and clog for other jobs that need to be processed. Is there anyway comskip can just dump empty output files in this condition?

edit: Or even better, just drop a .fail or something.

Can't you ask comskip to generate a log file
verbose=1
and let dirmon2 check for the existence of the log file?

That's a workable solution too :)
