Script that Mutes commercials in live television for EyeTV

I'm looking for a script that mutes commercials, specifically live television in EyeTV. This is worth paying for. There's a device called MuteMagic that works on cable TV in the US, but I'm hoping someone comes up with a creative software solution.

Why buy another gadget when software can potentially solve the problem for us?

Mute these brain-rotting commercials! I just want to watch the news, markets, and an occasional comedy show. DOWN with the noise to buy stuff and fill our garages and landfills! :cry:
