Here you can ask your questions on how to use Comskip for the detection of commercials. Also questions on how to remove commercials are welcome

The source filter for this file could not be loaded.

Post by pungo »

I'm just started getting this error in the FWlog when processing a file.
Using dvrmtoolbox w/MC addin
Everything has been working for years and now it died.
What source filter does this need to "Get Video Information"?
Looking in the logs when it was working correctly, the "Get Video Information" returned the resolution of the video.
Any help would be appreciated.

The error message is not from Comskip
DVRMStoolbox may run a prepossessing before comskip is invoked
Can you try to disable the pre-processing.

erik,

Thanks for your reply. I should have added that this is a dvrmstoolbox issue and not a comskip issue. I can drop a file on the comskip.exe and it processes it correctly.

With the babgvant.com site not working, I reached out to the comskip forum hoping someone has seen this issue and know how to correct it.

I looked around the dvrmtoolbox configuration settings to see if I could disable pre-processing and didn't seen where to disable it.

Update: Installed a media player codec pack and the problem was resolved. comskip was then super busy processing a ton of files
