Running comskip on NAS (Synology)

Post by schumi2004 »

I have comskip working on my NAS (Synology DS211) and i'm trying to get it running on a 40 min recording, it seems to work perfect but it takes ages to be completed, as in 2~3 hours!!!

I know my system isn't the fastest one but does it really need to take that long or is there a config mismatch that prevents comskip to process it faster?

What kind of processor does the NAS have?
What video size do you record? SD, HD?
What kind of video encoding? MPEG2, h.264?

Did you try to set
lowres=2
