Comskip GUI Crash with EDLP output

Post by agerdin »

Hi,

I need to have "output_edlp=1" set for the tool I am using to transcode my recordings. However, when trying to finetune the Comskip marks the Comskip GUI crashes as soon as I am trying to save the file "w". Works fine without EDLP.

Any ideas? Thanks

Yes,

I assume you are reviewing commercials breaks using the .txt file file (drag and drop on ComskipGUI.exe)
When any other output format than output_default is set this will cause comskip to crash
The solution is to set
output_framearray=1
and to use the .csv file when reviewing commercials breaks.

There is no quick solution as the underlying structure of comskip has changed to deal with timeline problems.

Thanks Erik,

Managed to get the csv file and I am able to start the GUI with it. However, the gui looks different and do not react on the same keys I am used to, ie. D=delete, I=insert, B=Begin, E=End.

I am actually not able to adjust, enter or delete any Commersials. What am I missing?

Greatful for any suggestions.

Hit F1 and it will tell you what keys you can use
The set is more limited then in .txt edit, sorry for that

My problem is that I cannot even see the result of my editing in the Review window. I can see the originial breaks but as soon as I start to edit them the breaks, the "graphical representation" of the breaks is not visable.

Looking at F1, the keys appear to be the same.

What do you mean when you say its more limited?
