Windows media center keeps popping up the message "Commercial file does not exist, would you like to process now". Even if I say yes a XML file is not created. I am using comskip 0.81.052. If I drag and drop a WTV file onto comskip.exe it runs, but still appears not to create the XML file.
Below is a DVRMStoolbox log. I am afraid I have no idea where to begin resolving this.

Re: Comskip runs manually, but not from DVRMStoolbox
I just deleted all the log files and XML files so Comskip and DVRMSToolbox are recreating files for all WTV files. I will then check the behavior when a new recording is added to the Recorded TV folder. I believe I should see it start scanning for commercials 10 minutes after the recording starts? Will post results tomorrow.erik wrote:Set

Re: Comskip runs manually, but not from DVRMStoolbox
It appears to be working OK now. I am on version 0.81.052 donators. It would probably be foolish to tempt fate with an update, although I could do a disk image first in case anything goes catastrophically, irreversibly wrong.
Re: Comskip runs manually, but not from DVRMStoolbox
If you want to avoid risk in an upgrade do the following.
1: copy your current comskip.exe to a safe backup location
2: download the latest zip file and extract comskip.exe from the zip file and put it where comskip.exe normally resides (not the backup location)
3: Test if it works.
4: If yes, you are done.
5: If no; copy comskip.exe from the backup location back to its original location.
