Should I do anything to make this work right?

I've recorded my schools football game using the 1080 HD PVR from Diamond. I did it at 8mbps. Everything looks good. I downloaded mcebuddy which has comskiip. My only reason for using this is football. I selected mp4 files with the best encoding option. Does comskiip have issues with football games? Should there be different settings I should use? Is there a better program out there?
