I stopped/deleted a show that was recording on 1/21. I am using recordedtvhd with wmc, so deleting just moves it to the recycling bin.
Anyway.. I noticed today 1/26 that there are 2 instances of comskip running, and no shows analyzed since 1/21. There are also 2 log files for that same show that I deleted on 1/21.
Not sure why comskip was running 2x. One copy was started 20 minutes after the other. Also, not sure why they were both running for 5 days.
Any way to put a timer on comskip so that it will error out after 4, or 6 hours or something? maybe configurable?

ok the 2x thing was because the show was actually broken up into 2 files. Must have stopped 1 and then restarted recording.
The big issue is Comskip running for 4 days on those 2 pieces though. Looks like the recordings had issues, so maybe it hung, but must be some way to kill them after being active for a while....

There is some fail safe mechanism in Comskip to avoid getting stuck with recordings with broken timelines but sometimes even this protection fails.
Too many failure modes to catch all.
