.cuts file automatically created

I use the latest versions of both Comskpip and VideoRedo TVSuite.
For quite some time I have noticed that the ends of most of my TV recordings are being truncated. For example, I run Comskip, then edit the resultant .vprj file. When I encounter the end of the actual program (I always have my Beyonwiz recorder record an extra 30 minutes at the end of each program), I add an additional 10 seconds, then delete from that point to the end. Playing the recording on my PC in VLC produces the correct result. But playing the recording on my Beyonwiz player usually results in the program ending several seconds too early.
I have also noticed that a .cuts file with a single entry is being created (but not by me). Even if I delete this .cuts file it is recreated when I next play the recording through my Beyonwiz player/recorder.
Any ideas?
