cannot detect commercials in mplayer streams

Post by vertigo »

hi all,

i am using mplayer in linux to dump dvb-t ts streams. while comskip worked a treat in windows using webscheduler, i can't get it to work with the streams mplayer creates, and they need to be saved with videoredo or projectx beforehand, which adds a lot of time to the process.

i have uploaded a small (under 5mb) ts stream. hope we can get it working, this really is a great program! :)

sample: http://www.sendspace.com/file/79xd23

ps sorry about using a file hosting service, i just don't have my own webspace

This is a very strange recording, I need to spend some time to analyze it because it is much different then normal recordings.

ok i just tried it with another stream from the same channel the sample is from. it works a treat, but it still fails on the other channels (including the HD channel of the sample)

should i upload some more samples? or maybe provide you with PIDs? :)

Yes please upload some more samples of recordings that fail.
20MByte per sample should be enough
