There is a way to remove commercials from very difficult recordings using cutscenes.
Actually its about cut frames.
Its based on comskip creating cutpoints by recognizing a frame marking the start and a frame marking the end of the show or part of the show and using these cutpoints splitting the recording in segments and deleting every segment that is shorter then the minimum show length by setting the global threshold to 0.95
