No, the real CPU load is generated by the video mpeg decoder.
I am afraid that's too complex to convert into a dual core solution.
The rest of the processing is less then 10% of the load.
But how long does the processing of a 2 hour recording take on such a modern computer?

On a 18.GHz pentium mobile comskip processes SD at DVD 2.5GB/hr at least at 400fps meaning it should be ready in about 5 minutes.
