Disney Channel

Post by cloud1771 »

I am trying to use comskip for the Disney Channel in the US. Mainly for the cartoons. Does anyone have a ini file preset for this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

thanks for the responce I found the guide....and i might be over thinking...

But I ran the latest comskip on one of the files(after making the changes to the ini).
I have the csv, edl, log, logo.txt, and txt files.
Which one do I need to turn into the .ref and do I put the time or how to I identify where the commercial cuts are?

Also, another station Disney Jr, it is SD and very similar format would I need to make a separate zip file for that channel or should this work for both.

Thanks,
Matt

Hello,

I'm new to comskip and am using it with MCE buddy. I too am trying to use it with Disney Channel, Disney Jr. Nick, etc. My issues are as follows:

Most kids shows on those channels are 20-25 min long without commercials. Anything after the show is a commercial or program "short." Comskip picks up on these and declares them as part of the show. The lead-in was troublesome too as it too looked like part of a show. I did manage to remove the lead-in. Any suggestions on how to focus in on the show itself? It looks like comskip took care of the true commercials properly.

Does the GUI help with this? All I can tell the GUI does is determine commercials. I don't see where it determines part of the show.

Also, since I am new, I don't see where to post an ini file without posting the entire txt. And if you have some other resources as were mentioned earlier on this post, I'd like to be pointed to them.

Thanks,
Bryan

Ok, there are some crazy things I changed to try to get it to work esp with the commercial lengths. Since posting, I have found a slight variance in episodes... Sometimes they have a 1 hour episode that only has one true commercial break, so i would need help considering that too. Thanks in advance.
