Linux Hardware Decoding

Does hardware decoding work on the Linux version or only with Windows?

I've had issues with hardware decoding on the Linux version. I can't say outright that it doesn't work because I gave up very quickly since I didn't really need it. Maybe someone else has a more definiteve answer.

Hardware decoding does work on linux, for at least some hardware.

It works on Raspberry Pi ... viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1806

set

Code: Select all

hardware_decode=1
in comskip.ini to enable

I'm using this within a Docker container on an Intel Ivy Bridge CPU. With the Plex container I passed the /dev/dri GMA as a device. Any idea if this should also work with comskip?
