Help padding commercials

Hi I am using comskip with mcebuddy, I am a new user and have not edited the ini.

I am using a HDHR Prime with Spectrum cable. I record a lot on the channel A&E. Specifically the
show the First 48. I notice that it often cuts to commercial a hair too soon, it will cut off the scene while someone
is talking.

I am sure there is a way to adjust this but all the settings are overwhelming.

Another question I have is would it be goods for my setup to use one of the pre-edited ini's? I don't
see any for my cable provider so wasn't sure it was a good idea.

Thanks!

Consider changing increasing the padding (in seconds)
or experiment with larger values for shrink_logo (increment in steps of 5 seconds)

Thank you.
Did you get this sorted? I'm running into the same thing.

I'd like just a few seconds more before the cut on USA but not on other channels as they seem to be working okay.

I couldn't find "Padding" in the ini editor but see it in the ini using notepad++. The default is 0. to increase it, set it to 1 or can decimals be used such as 0.5, etc? If it is negative does it increase the padding?

No decimals, only seconds
No negative numbers

Okay. So 1 yields 1 second added to the remaining portion each side of the commercial?

In other words, 1 second less of each commercial block will be deleted?
