Verifying if Comskip is working correctly

Post by shmee »

Hello,

I have been using Comskip for many years now and recently I noticed it's not working correctly. I found that the EDL files only have 1 line of data (e.g. 0.30 89.79 0). I was thinking that it might be crashing towards the beginning, but there is a lot going on in the log file.

If someone would be willing to review these files and let me know if they notice anything, that would be great. Here are my associated files:
EDL: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/281 ... 0411-0.edl
LOG: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/281 ... 0411-0.log

I am currently using donators version 81.088 in conjunction with Comskip Monitor. If I need to enable a flag to show more data, then please provide an example for me to test out.

Thank you for your time in reviewing this!

Seems comskip did not process the entire recording but ended early.
Do you run comskip after the recording is finished or while recording?
Can you run comskip manually on the recording that only had one line in the .edl file and see if you get better output?

Manually running it works... but you may have clued me into the problem. I had it processing while recording and maybe that's what the issue has been. I'll need to do some more testing.

Hey Erik,

Just wanted to follow up and thank you. The problem was indeed running Comskip during a recording.
